There are many reasons that can lead to insufficient flow in multi-stage pumps, including motor faults, blocked overcurrent channels, impeller cracking, cavitation, installation errors, etc. Different solutions are available for different faults. To ensure that users can quickly solve problems and have a good pump experience, Zhongcheng Pump Industry provides corresponding treatment suggestions for the corresponding fault causes.
The common reasons and treatment suggestions for insufficient flow of multi-stage pumps are as follows:

1. Firstly, confirm whether the motor is accompanied by abnormal noise or vibration while the flow is insufficient. Considering that it is caused by motor abnormalities, check whether the voltage, speed, and other parameters of the motor are within the standard values, and confirm that there are no overcurrent, overload, or other situations.
2. Confirm that the installation position of the multi-stage pump meets the corresponding standards, and focus on checking the pipeline layout to see if there are any excessively long or bent sections that may cause energy consumption.
3. Check the internal overcurrent channel and consider whether there is any blockage, especially after long-term use. If the transported liquid is mixed with materials that exceed the transportation standard, it may cause the overcurrent channel to narrow, and in severe cases, it may become blocked, becoming the reason for insufficient flow of multi-stage pumps.

It is recommended to install a filter screen at the pump inlet to prevent this and also try to avoid foreign objects from mixing into the transported liquid.
4. Check if too much air has infiltrated the pump chamber, causing it to fail to form pressure and directly affecting the flow rate. Proper exhaust is required before normal use, simply open the exhaust valve.
5. If it is a multi-stage pump with a certain service life, it is considered that the internal components have worn out after prolonged use. It is recommended to dismantle the pump and inspect related components such as impellers, bearings, ball valves, seals, etc. Replace the severely worn parts. In addition, regular maintenance checks should be carried out to avoid this situation from happening again.
