Common Fault Causes And Troubleshooting Of Well Submersible Pump

Fault 1:

Fault phenomenon: no water, little water or intermittent water.

Cause: A. motor reverse rotation; b. The motor is not started; c. The dynamic water level is lower than the suction inlet; d. Serious leakage of pipeline or connecting parts; e. The sealing ring or impeller of the pump is seriously worn and damaged; f. The coupling sleeve of motor and pump moves.

Troubleshooting: A. change the contact position; b. Remove the line fault and check the voltage; c. Add lifting pipe or replace water pump; d. Dismantle the pump for maintenance and eliminate the fault; e. Replace the sealing ring or impeller; f. Fix the coupling sleeve.

Fault 2:

Fault phenomenon: the flow decreases.

Cause: a. the sealing ring is worn; b. The filter screen is blocked; c. Water leakage between lifting pipe or shell.

Troubleshooting: A. remove the pump and replace the sealing ring; b. Dismantle the pump and repair the water filter; c. Remove the pump for maintenance and eliminate the fault.

Fault 3:

Fault phenomenon: the unit vibrates violently.

Causes: A. bending of pump shaft; b. The bearings of the pump and motor are excessively worn.

Troubleshooting: A. remove the pump calibration shaft or replace it; b. Remove the pump or motor and repair the bearing.

Fault 4:

Fault phenomenon: the pointer of ammeter swings greatly.

Causes: a. the dynamic water level drops to the pump suction port; b. The flow is too large, causing the water pump rotor to string up.

Troubleshooting: A. add lifting pipe or replace water pump; b. Turn down the valve to reduce the water output.

Fault 5:

Fault phenomenon: the insulation resistance drops below 0.5m Ω.

Causes: a. the quality of cable joint is not high; b. Motor insulation damage; c. The cable is damaged.

Troubleshooting: A. reconnect the cable connector; b. Repair the motor winding; c. Repair or replace the cable.

Fault 6:

Fault phenomenon: when starting, the motor does not rotate and there is a buzzing sound.

Causes: A. single phase operation of motor; b. The bearing engages and holds the shaft.

Troubleshooting: A. check the power cable and find out the broken phase; b. Repair or replace the bearing.
