A water pump is a mechanical device used to transport liquids or pressurize liquids. It is unknown the quality of a newly purchased water pump. Apart from checking parameters such as flow rate, head, and power, is there any other way to determine the quality of a new water pump? Below, the editor will explain to you.
The initial inspection steps for the quality of the water pump are as follows:
1. Move the water pump coupling by hand to see if there is any jamming phenomenon;
2. Fill the pump casing with water and check if there is a large area of leakage in the filling material;
Other methods can only be checked after the water pump is powered on and connected to a complete water pump pipe system with liquid medium delivery.

Here is a reminder not to start the water pump rashly without understanding the specific structure and working principle of the pump, otherwise it is very likely to damage the pump components and cause economic losses that could have been avoided.
The method for distinguishing the quality of a water pump is as follows:
1. The packaging of water pumps produced by legitimate manufacturers is generally standardized and neat, with clear and neat handwriting on the label. The pump name, model, trademark, factory name, address, and customer service phone number are detailed on the label. However, the packaging of inferior and counterfeit manufacturers is rough, and the factory address and name on the water pump nameplate are not clearly printed. For high-quality and qualified water pumps, it is required that there must be clear labeling on the nameplate, and the part number, serial number, name, and quantity should be consistent with those marked on the packing list;
2. A high-quality and qualified water pump has a smooth surface and excellent workmanship, especially for the important components of the water pump. Not only is the machining accuracy high, but strict anti-corrosion and rust prevention measures have also been taken. Therefore, when selecting a water pump, if rust or rubber cracking due to illness or loss of elasticity is found in the water pump components, then this water pump should not be a qualified water pump, at least the water pump components are not original factory parts;

3. The parts of the water pump that do not meet the quality standards are refurbished waste parts. In this case, as long as the paint on the surface of the water pump is opened, the old paint surface can be found. It is recommended not to use this unqualified water pump;
4. The water pump with qualified quality has assembly marks engraved on its components to ensure the correct installation of the water pump parts. If there are no relevant marks or the marks are unclear, it indicates that the parts are not qualified. During transportation, the water pump components should avoid sliding, impact, and wear, which can cause damage;
5. Legitimate and qualified water pump assemblies and components must be in good condition to ensure the normal operation of the water pump upon arrival at the site. If there are missing or damaged water pump components, it is easy to cause difficulties in starting and operating the water pump. Otherwise, these water pumps or components are unqualified and counterfeit;
6. After leaving the factory, the water pump and accessories should be equipped with moisture-proof or rust proof measures to ensure that the water pump will not be corroded or damaged within 12 months. If it exceeds 12 months, it should be checked in a timely manner and moisture-proof or rust proof measures should be taken again;

To judge the quality of a water pump, in addition to the above points, it is also important to pay attention to whether the pump's manual and certificate of conformity are complete when purchasing a water pump. Regular water pump manufacturers will provide these relevant materials with the pump when it leaves the factory to guide users in installing, using, and maintaining the water pump.
