Horizontal Split Casing Centrifugal Pump is a common machine that has been standardized and serialized. When production requires, the appropriate model and specification of the pump should be selected according to the physical and chemical properties of the transported liquid, operating conditions, transport requirements and equipment layout. The following are the selection steps of centrifugal pumps organized by Tenglong Xiaobian.
(1) Collect and organize various data related to the transported liquid, including physical and chemical properties such as corrosiveness, toxicity, density, viscosity, vapor pressure, solid particle content and size, temperature, pressure, flow rate and possible changes of the transported liquid range, as well as the condition of the piping system and piping characteristics, the installation conditions and method of installation of the pump.
(2) Calculate the lift, effective power and shaft power required for the pipeline. The flow required for the calculation should be the flow in normal operation.
(3) Select the model of the pump according to the sample provided by the manufacturer or the performance table of the centrifugal pump in the national standard.
Generally speaking, the material of the pump depends on the corrosiveness of the liquid. For example, stainless steel centrifugal pump, FRP centrifugal pump and other materials can be selected as the main corrosion-resistant pump for ammonium sulfite transportation, and gray cast iron can be selected as the main material for clear water transportation in Yuci. The outlet and population diameters of the pump depend on the flow rate of the liquid being conveyed. The number of stages of the pump depends on the head required by the pipeline, so that the pump head is slightly higher than the head required by the pipeline. The sealing performance of the pump depends on the toxicity of the liquid. For example, packing seals are used for conveying clean water, and mechanical seals are required for conveying benzene.
When choosing a Horizontal Split Casing Centrifugal Pump, if several types of pumps can meet the usage requirements, you should choose the pump that is economical and works in the area. Generally speaking, for single pump operation, a backup pump can be set up at the important position. If the required flow rate is large, a vertical centrifugal pump with a large flow rate should be selected, and the parallel operation of multiple pumps is generally not considered.
