Installation Method Of Submersible Sewage Pump

Jul 18, 2024

Submersible sewage pumps can be modularized with submersible motors and submersible pumps, or pump components can be directly installed at the extended end of the submersible motor shaft to form an integrated product of the pump. They can be used for underwater work in wells, rivers, lakes, oceans, or other occasions. Mainly used for municipal engineering, building construction, industrial wastewater and sewage treatment, discharging sewage, wastewater and rainwater containing solids and long fibers. After understanding the correct installation of submersible sewage pumps, the normal operation of submersible sewage pumps is determined.
The submersible sewage pump is composed of a pump and a motor, and its installation method is similar to that of other types of pumps. Generally, the basic engineering of the water pump is carried out first, and after the basic acceptance of the water pump unit is qualified, the installation of the pump body, outlet pipe, and accessories is carried out.
1. Pouring concrete foundation
The unit foundation is generally poured with concrete marked as C15 or C20, using a one-time pouring method for construction. In order to enable the foundation to bear large loads, it is generally made into a square pyramid shape with a small upper part and a large lower part, or grouted as a whole with the bottom plate of the collection well (pit) to make the top surface of the foundation horizontal, and embedded with anchor bolts.
2. Installation of guide rod and pump seat
Lift the pump station and slowly lower it above the unit, aligning the bolt holes of the pump station with the anchor bolts buried in the foundation. After leveling the pump station with a level ruler, tighten the anchor bolts. The bottom of the guide rod is connected to the pump seat through screws, bolts, or plug-in connections, and the top is connected to the support frame. The support frame and guide rod are usually made of carbon steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, or galvanized steel pipes.
3. Installation of pump body
Lift the pump body and place the coupling device (coupling device, water pump, and motor are generally integrated equipment) inside the guide rod until the coupling device is connected to the outlet bend of the pump station, and the centerline of the inlet of the water pump outlet pipe coincides with that of the outlet bend
4. Installation of water outlet pipe and accessories: The water pump outlet pipe is connected to the outlet pipe with flanges, and other accessories on the outlet pipe, including gate valves, shrinkage valves, and check valves, are connected with flanges.
The installation of accessories for the sewage pump outlet pipe, the water pump outlet pipe, and the outlet bend pipe are connected by flanges. The remaining accessories on the outlet pipe, including gate valves, shrinkage valves, and check valves, are connected by flanges.
When inspecting the pump body, personnel do not need to enter the collection well (pit), and can manually or mechanically connect the pump body through the collection well to the chain connecting the pump body. According to the size of the pump body and practical needs, lifting brackets can be divided into two types: permanent brackets or temporary brackets.
