Maintenance Of Multi-stage Centrifugal Pump

Oct 24, 2024

Long term operation of the water pump requires replacement and maintenance of vulnerable parts such as seals and bearings.
The water pump needs to regularly lubricate the bearings and clean the dust.

If the water pump and motor are separate, regular balance calibration and tightening of screws are required. Valves need to be checked regularly for smooth opening and closing, and lubricating grease should be regularly added to the valve stem.

The flexible joints of pipeline connections need to be inspected regularly, and if damaged, they should be replaced immediately. It is necessary to regularly add lubricating grease to the motor and regularly check the fastening performance of the foot screws. Couplings and elastic washers need to be replaced regularly.

If any wear is found, they should be immediately stopped from use. The components in the control cabinet should be regularly inspected and replaced immediately if damaged. Inspect the main components in the control cabinet at any time and test the performance of the PLC.

The control cabinet should be regularly dusted, and it is strictly prohibited to wipe it with a damp cloth. A vacuum cleaner or dry cloth should be used for dust removal. If there is flashing or constant light in the control cabinet, it should be stopped immediately and the machine should be stopped to troubleshoot.

The water supply pump room and water tank should be cleaned regularly, and the flexibility of the inlet float should be checked to observe whether the inlet water volume is normal. The drainage pump of the collection pit should be regularly inspected, the debris at the bottom of the pit should be cleaned, and the flexibility of the floating ball should be checked.

If the sewage pump is not used for a long time, it should be started regularly and simulated to ensure that it can operate normally when needed.
Attention should be paid to the installation process of centrifugal pumps:
1. Reinstall the components in the reverse order of dismantling the pump, and pay attention to measuring the clearance values at each sealing ring again to ensure accuracy;
2. Tighten all main bolts evenly, paying attention to diagonal tightening;
3. Draw a dial gauge on the shaft, rotate the shaft to mark the balance plate, and the allowable deviation should be in accordance with the drawing requirements, generally not exceeding 0.06mm.
