The maximum flow rate of the fire pump should be 150% of the design value, and the head should not be less than 65% of the selected working point head. When shutting down the fire pump, the head cannot exceed 140% of the selected working point head. The flow range of the horizontal fire pump is 5L/S to 80L/S, and the head is 1.1 to 1.2 times that of the fire pump head. It is stipulated that a measuring flow meter should be installed on the outlet pipe of the fire pump, which should be able to test 175% of the rated flow of the fire pump. A pressure gauge with a diameter greater than 89mm should be installed on the outlet pipe of the fire pump.
Daily maintenance of fire pumps
(1) Fire pumps should be inspected and maintained once a week, and comprehensive maintenance should be carried out every six months.
(2) The maintenance personnel of the management office are responsible for the regular maintenance of the fire pump.
(3) Ensure that the fire pump is always in good operating or standby condition.
(4) Each shift should check and ensure that the power and circuit of the fire protection system are unobstructed, as well as the integrity of electrical equipment.
(5) After starting the fire pump, check the level of the packing seal, which should not exceed 10 drops/minute to 30 drops/minute.
