Reasons For Insufficient Flow Rate Of Pipeline Centrifugal Pump

Mar 24, 2025

The reasons for insufficient water output of a water pump in general are as follows:

1. Due to the presence of air in the inlet pipes of various water pumps, the solution is to reinstall the water pump inlet pipes so that they are level or inclined downwards.

2. Due to the vortex generated in the pool and the centrifugal pump sucking air into the pump body, the water pump's output is insufficient. This phenomenon can increase the submergence depth of the inlet pipe or take other measures to prevent vortex generation.

3. If the impeller of the water pump is severely damaged due to cavitation or corrosion, it is necessary to replace it with a new impeller or a corrosion-resistant impeller. If the bottom valve of the water pump is too small or the bottom valve, water pump, and pipeline are blocked by debris, they should be checked and eliminated one by one.

4. The excessive wear of the leakage reducing ring on the impeller of the water pump leads to insufficient water output. Only by replacing the leakage reducing ring or replacing the impeller if necessary. Due to the low speed of the water pump, for example, the required speed of the water pump is 2980r/min, while some users have their own motor speed that is only half of this speed. And, for example, some users of commonly used vertical pipeline centrifugal pumps use frequency conversion control. Due to the low frequency and low speed, the water volume will also decrease accordingly. The solution is to make the pump power machine reach the standard speed.
