Sewage Pump Maintenance Tips

Jan 08, 2021

1. If the submersible sewage pump is not used for a long time, the electric pump should be taken out of the water. Do not soak in the water for a long time to reduce the chance of the stator winding of the motor getting damp and increase the service life of the electric pump. You can spray paint on the place where the paint falls off. Rust.

2. The sewage pump should be managed and used by a dedicated person, and the insulation resistance between the pump winding and the casing should be checked regularly.

3. After each use, especially for thicker and viscous media, the submersible electric pump should be put into clean water and run for several minutes to prevent deposits in the pump and ensure the cleanliness of the submersible sewage pump.

4. Under normal conditions, the sewage pump should be filled or replaced after every 300-500 hours of use in the oil chamber (10-30 oil) to keep the mechanical seal in good lubrication and improve the service life of the mechanical seal.

5. After the submersible non-clogging sewage pump is disassembled and repaired, the casing components must be inspected by a 0.2MPa air tightness test to ensure that the motor is sealed reliably. The test pump should be inching to ensure that the product is normal before starting the motor.

6. The small submersible sewage pump can be installed in a mobile installation mode. The submersible sewage pump with a diameter of more than 100mm is recommended to use a coupled installation for future maintenance and testing.

7. Replace the sealing ring: After long-term use in the sewage medium, the gap between the impeller and the sealing ring may increase, causing the flow and efficiency of the water pump to decrease. Turn off the switch, lift the water pump, remove the bottom cover, and remove it. The sealing ring is equipped with the sealing ring according to the actual size of the impeller mouth ring, and the gap is generally about 0.5mm.
