What Are The Installation And Usage Methods For Deep Well Submersible Pumps

A submersible pump for wells is a water lifting equipment that is directly connected to a motor and a water pump and works underwater. It is suitable for extracting groundwater from deep wells, and can also be used for water lifting projects such as rivers, reservoirs, and canals. It is mainly used for irrigation of farmland and human and animal water in high-altitude mountainous areas, and can also be used for drainage in cities, factories, railways, mines, and construction sites.

 

Installation of deep well submersible pump


1. Remove the water filter screen from the pump as a whole, then open the water injection and air release holes and bolts to fill the motor cavity with clean water, making sure to fill it to prevent false filling. And check whether there is water leakage in all parts of the motor. If water leakage is found, adjust the gasket and tighten the bolts according to the location.

2. Carefully inspect the cables and connectors for any scratches or damage, and promptly seal the holes if any issues are found.

3. The insulation resistance of the winding measured with a 500 volt megohmmeter shall not be less than 150 megohms.

4. Install the protective switch and starting equipment, check if the motor is fully filled with water, tighten the water injection and release hole bolts, and then install the wire protection plate and water filter screen to prepare for installation in the well.

5. Install a short water pipe at the outlet of the deep well pump and clamp it with a clamp to lift it into the well, so that the clamp is seated on the well platform.

6. Use a pair of clamps to clamp another section of the water supply pipe, then lift and lower it to connect with the flange of the short water supply pipe. Lift the suspension chain and remove the supporting clamp plate, so that the pump pipe can be lowered into the well and then placed on the well platform. Repeat the installation process in sequence until it is fully installed. Do not remove the last clamp plate to fix the pump on the wellhead.

7. Put on the manhole cover, bend pipe, gate valve outlet pipe, etc. after Zui.

8. Add a rubber gasket every time the flange is connected, and tighten the screws diagonally after alignment to prevent tilting and water leakage.

9. The cable should be fixed in the groove on the flange of the water supply pipe, and each section should be secured with a rope. During the process of going down the well, be careful not to use the cable as a hanging rope, and do not damage the cable. (10) There is a jamming phenomenon during the pumping process, and efforts should be made to overcome the jamming points. It is not advisable to forcefully lower the pump to avoid jamming.

11. It is strictly prohibited for personnel to enter the well when installing pumps in large wells.

12. Protective switches and starting equipment should be equipped with voltage and current meters, indicator lights, and installed on the distribution panel in appropriate positions around the wellhead.

 

Instructions for using deep well submersible pumps


Starting of deep well pump


1. Measure the insulation resistance of the motor winding to ground with a 500 volt megohmmeter, which should not be less than 5 megohms.

2. Check the three-phase power supply circuit, whether the voltage meets the regulations, and whether various instruments, protective equipment, and wiring are correct before closing and starting.

3. After starting, observe whether the current and voltage meet the specified range, and whether there are any abnormal sounds or vibrations during operation. If there are any abnormalities, the cause should be identified and resolved in a timely manner.

To determine the correct direction of motor rotation, the pump should be operated in two directions with the valve closed. Change the direction of rotation by swapping any two phases of the three-phase power supply. The reading of the pressure gauge varies depending on the direction of rotation. The direction with higher pressure is the correct rotation direction. It is also possible to determine the direction of rotation based on the flow rate when the valve is open, and the direction with a larger flow rate is the correct direction of rotation.

1. Turn off the switch to stop the machine, and wait for 5 minutes or more before restarting to prevent the motor temperature from rising too high. It is best to cut off the power after stopping the machine.

2. It is incorrect to disable the protective switch or use aluminum or copper wire to increase the fuse.

3. The continuous shutdown time of QJ submersible pump shall not exceed 14 days, otherwise, impurities in the water will settle in the clearance between the bearing and impeller, and even block the pump shaft. If the work environment requires a downtime of more than 14 days, the unit should be turned on at least once every 14 days and run for 5 minutes to ensure that it can be used at any time.
