Maintenance and upkeep of centrifugal pumps for clean water

1. Check whether there is any looseness in the pipeline and joint of the clear water centrifugal pump. Rotate the water centrifugal pump by hand to see if it is flexible.

2. Add bearing lubricating oil into the bearing body, and observe that the oil level is at the centerline of the oil gauge. The lubricating oil should be replaced or replenished in a timely manner.

3. Unscrew the water inlet plug of the centrifugal pump body and inject water.

4. Close the gate valve and outlet pressure gauge of the water outlet pipeline.

5. Tap the motor and test the Wuxi welded pipe to see if the motor direction is correct.

6. Start the motor, and when the centrifugal pump for clean water is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge to see if it shows the appropriate pressure. Then gradually open the gate valve and check the load condition of the motor.

7. Try to control the flow rate and head of the clean water centrifugal pump within the range indicated on the label as much as possible to ensure that the centrifugal pump operates at the highest efficiency point, in order to achieve the maximum energy-saving effect.

8. During the operation of the clear water centrifugal pump, the bearing temperature should not exceed 35 ℃ of the ambient temperature, and the maximum temperature of the Wuxi welded pipe should not exceed 80 ℃.

9. If any abnormal sound is found in the clear water centrifugal pump, it should be stopped immediately to check the cause.

10. When the centrifugal pump for clean water needs to be stopped, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.

 

 

11. Within the first month of operation, the lubricating oil of the clear water centrifugal pump should be replaced after 100 hours, and then every 500 hours thereafter.

12. Regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure normal dripping inside the packing chamber.

13. Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and replace it promptly if there is significant wear.

14. When using a centrifugal pump for clean water during the cold winter season, after parking, it is necessary to unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body to drain the medium completely. Prevent frost cracking.

15. The Wuxi welded pipe of the clear water centrifugal pump has been out of use for a long time. The pump needs to be completely disassembled, wiped dry, and the rotating parts and joints coated with grease and properly stored.
