What Are The Precautions For Installing Metal Corrosion-resistant Pumps And Bases

Feb 03, 2025

Installation precautions for metal corrosion-resistant pumps:
(1) Preparation work before installation of metal corrosion-resistant pump
① Refer to the equipment drawings to understand the main dimensions of the equipment, as well as the positions of the connecting components and anchor bolts.
② Before installation, necessary tools and equipment must be prepared, suitable lifting devices must be equipped when needed, and sufficient lighting must be maintained. Suitable space and channels must be provided for transporting large components to the assembly position to facilitate the installation and adjustment of the pump.
③ Choose a reasonable installation location to ensure smooth pump operation, avoid resonance, and extend the service life of the pump.
Before installing the pipeline, in order to protect the pump, the plugs on the pump flange and threaded holes must not be removed to prevent debris from falling in.
During installation, the pump must be covered properly.
⑤ After the foundation and related civil engineering of the pump are completed, the concrete reaches the effective curing period, the strength meets the specified standards, and after re inspection and acceptance, the pump can be installed in place.
⑥ For leaks in shaft seals, pump body outlets, cooling systems, etc., a pressure free drainage condition must be provided to avoid environmental pollution.
Installation precautions for metal corrosion-resistant pump base:
① Place the base with the pump and motor on the foundation, insert the anchor bolts into the anchor bolt holes of the base, screw the washers and nuts, and use steel pads of different thicknesses and forms to adjust the pump to a horizontal position.
② Remove the accumulated water and debris in the reserved holes of the anchor bolts, and pour concrete into the anchor bolts.
③ After the concrete solidifies, tighten the anchor bolts and nuts. Recheck the levelness of the pump, and if there is a change in the position of the pump, it must be corrected again.
④ After calibration, use concrete for secondary grouting, and the concrete should be poured to fill the entire space under the base, that is, to be in contact with the top plate, collection tank, and all reinforcing bars. The welding base should be poured onto the upper surface of the channel steel base foundation.
