1, Installation location
1) The installation position of multi-stage centrifugal pumps should be as close to the water source as possible to reduce the suction head and shorten the length of the suction pipe.
2) The pump room should be located in a bright, dry, and clean place for maintenance and inspection; In addition, it is necessary to reserve space for disassembly and inspection, especially when multiple multi-stage pumps are configured, the spacing and arrangement between them should be fully studied.
3) When considering flood prevention, the top surface of the installation foundation should be made higher than the flood water level; Or arrange the motor and electrical equipment in a safe location.
4) Measuring instruments and other equipment should be arranged in a location that is easily visible during start-up operations.
5) For multi-stage pumps used in mining, the pump suction port is installed at the upper part of the well filter screen to avoid sucking in sediment.
6) Accurate calculation is necessary when determining the installation height.
2, Installation foundation
1) In order to absorb vibrations and firmly support the pump frame, the foundation of a multi-stage centrifugal pump should have sufficient strength and size.
2) The weight of the foundation itself: for the direct connection type of the electric motor, it is more than three times the total weight of the unit; The type of engine direct connection is more than 5 times the total weight of the unit.
3) For weak foundations, wooden or concrete piles are used for foundation treatment.
4) When the motor and multi-stage centrifugal pump are directly connected for transmission, try to use a solid foundation as much as possible.
5) During the winter freezing period, the frozen surface of the foundation reduces its bearing capacity. Therefore, the burial depth of the foundation should be deeper than the depth of the frozen soil in the area.
6) When using a two-story floor panel as a foundation, it is important to ensure that the center of the foundation is aligned with the center of the beam or spans over two beams, and is as close as possible to the walls of the building.
7) Install the pump after about two weeks of sufficient hardening of the foundation concrete pouring.
8) A gap of 10-30mm should be left between the pump frame and the foundation concrete for horizontal correction. At the same time, the surface of the foundation concrete does not need to be smoothed with a trowel, and any unevenness should be left as it is.
9) The holes for the anchor bolts shall be square holes of sufficient size.
10) After the concrete has hardened, tighten the nuts of the anchor bolts.
3, When installing a multi-stage centrifugal pump, in addition to meeting general requirements, the following points should also be noted:
1) The foundation plane for installing the pump should be leveled with a spirit level. After the basic cement solidifies, the base and anchor bolt holes should be checked for looseness;
2) After the assembly of the motor, pump, and base, the concentricity of the pump shaft and motor shaft should be strictly checked to ensure that the two axis centerlines are on the same horizontal line;
3) When assembling the motor and multi-stage centrifugal pump, ensure that the axial clearance value between the coupling end faces of the pump and motor is 3mm, and there is no axial displacement in this series of pumps;
4) Multi stage centrifugal pumps can only withstand their own internal forces and cannot withstand any external forces, so the suction and discharge pipelines of the pump should have their own supports to avoid damaging the pump.
5) MD (P) pumps used for underground operation in mines containing flammable and explosive gases must use explosion-proof motors and be required to have corresponding protection levels and explosion-proof markings.
