What Are The Reasons For Centrifugal Pumps Having No Flow Or Insufficient Flow?

Dec 03, 2024

What are the reasons for centrifugal pumps having no flow or insufficient flow?
1. Inhalation pipeline
There is air in the suction pipeline or pump, and gas needs to be discharged.
Inhalation pipeline leakage, identify and repair the leakage. The valve of the suction or discharge pipeline is closed, and the relevant valve needs to be opened.
The suction height is too high, recalculate the installation height.
The suction pipe is too small or blocked. Adjust the diameter of the imported pipeline.
2. Impeller
The impeller is damaged, resulting in insufficient cutting of the pumped medium. The impeller needs to be replaced.
Impeller channel blockage. It is necessary to remove foreign objects from the flow channel.
Insufficient impeller speed, identify the cause of the insufficient speed, such as inappropriate motor matching, and make adjustments.
The direction of the impeller is incorrect. Adjust the rotation direction of the motor or prime mover again.
3. If the head of the device is higher than that of the pump, the selection needs to be recalculated.
