A centrifugal pump, also known as a centrifugal water pump, is a pumping machine that utilizes the centrifugal motion of water.
How is noise formed
1. Hydraulic noise is caused by hydraulic vibration during operation. When the pump operates in the highest efficiency zone, the noise is minimized, which is the result of obtaining the optimal and reasonable values of various hydraulic parameters in hydraulic design. When deviating from the design conditions, the noise level is high and the destructive power is very serious.
2. Aerodynamic noise is generated by the rotation of the fan and rotor of the water pump motor in the air during operation. It is mainly related to the number of blades of the fan and the relative speed of air flow. The noise caused by the fan can be eliminated in water-cooled motors.
3. Electromagnetic noise is generated by motors. Voltage instability causes electromagnetic vibration; Uneven eccentric air gap of the rotor increases electromagnetic noise; The motor winding has a fault, causing an unbalanced magnetic field and producing a low growl sound in the motor; The rotor of an asynchronous motor has broken bars, resulting in a decrease in motor torque and varying levels of noise when the load current is high or low.
4. There are many reasons for the generation of mechanical noise. The vibration of the water pump can actually cause mechanical noise. The internal reasons of the pump itself are mainly due to poor rigidity of the pump body, which constitutes a sound source when accompanied by cavitation of the pump; Poor rigidity in impeller design can also lead to the above results. In addition, when the rigidity of the guide vanes used in multi-stage pumps is poor or the cross-sectional area at the inlet of the guide vanes is not properly matched with the thickness of the inlet edge, it may cause significant vibration and noise inside the pump. Secondly, due to contact friction between the parts on the pump rotor and the non rotating pump body, high-frequency noise will also be generated.
The noise of the water pump cannot be eliminated during operation. We can only reduce the noise to the allowable range. Ensure the normal operation of the water pump; So how can centrifugal pumps efficiently isolate vibration and noise;
Methods of shock absorption:
1. According to the environment of the pump room, the pump room with loosely sealed sound sources should be treated with sound insulation. The rooms that generate noise in the pump room should be treated with sound absorption/insulation, and doors and windows should also be treated with sound insulation.
2. Control the noise generated by machinery and equipment components. The foundation of the newly built pump room water pump should be heavy to prevent vibration and noise., And rubber vibration isolation pads should be installed for vibration isolation to reduce the noise of vibration; Each water pump unit is equipped with a separate foundation to prevent resonance. Use "flexible" connections as much as possible on the suction and pressure pipes of the water pump. Regular maintenance should be carried out to promptly address issues such as leaking gaskets, loose equipment parts, severe wear and tear of equipment components, mechanical vibrations, etc., in order to reduce noise.
3. Install suitable shock absorbers; For example, spring shock absorbers, damping spring shock absorbers, rubber shock absorbers, etc;
