Fire Engineering Water Supply And Drainage: Installation Of Fire Pumps And Stabilizing Pumps

Jan 06, 2025

1.The installation of fire pumps and stabilizing pumps should comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standards.

2. The specifications and models of fire pumps and stabilizing pumps should meet the design requirements, and should have product certification and installation instructions.

3.When there are no design requirements, a check valve and pressure gauge should be installed on the outlet pipe of the fire pump, and a discharge valve for inspection and testing should be installed. A pressure gauge and a pressure relief valve should also be installed on the main outlet pipe of the fire pump unit. When installing a pressure gauge, a buffer device should be added. A plug should be installed between the pressure gauge and the buffer device. The range of the pressure gauge should be 2-2.5 times the working pressure.

The installation of suction pipes and their accessories should meet the following requirements:

(1) The control valve on the suction pipe should be installed after the fire pump is fixed on the foundation, and its diameter should not be smaller than the diameter of the suction port of the fire pump. Butterfly valves without reliable locking devices should not be used.

(2) When the fire pump and fire water tank are located on two independent foundations and are rigidly connected to each other, a flexible connecting pipe should be added to the suction pipe.

(3) There should be no air pockets or air leaks on the horizontal section of the suction pipe. When changing diameter, eccentric reducing fittings should be used, and the top of the pipe should be kept straight during connection.
