Malfunctions And Troubleshooting Methods Of Stainless Steel Deep Well Submersible Pumps During Operation

Oct 11, 2024

Without water or with uncertain water output:
1. If the dynamic water level is lower than the suction port of the pump - increase the water supply pipe. If the water still does not flow and exceeds the range of the pump's head, it is recommended to replace the pump.
2. Serious water leakage or detachment of the water pipe - replace the water pipe or install a new water pipe.
3. Loose rotor and shaft - replace rotor.
4. Part of the impeller is loose - reassemble the impeller.
5. Motor reversal - swap the power connector.
6. Pipeline blockage - remove blockage.
Decreased water pump flow:
1. The sealing ring is severely worn - replace the sealing ring.
2. The flow channel of the water filter guide shell impeller is blocked - remove the blockage.
3. Low voltage and frequency - stop the machine and wait for the voltage value to reach the specified value before restarting.
4. If the dynamic water level drops beyond the rated head of the water pump, replace the high head pump.
Severe vibration of the unit or excessive current causing the pointer of the electricity meter to swing:
1. Bending of pump shaft or motor shaft - repair or replace the pump shaft or motor shaft.
2. Excessive wear between the pump shaft, motor shaft, and bearings - replace the bearings.
3. Wear or damage of thrust bearing - replace thrust bearing.
4. The fastening nut of the thrust disc is damaged - either fix the nut or repair the shaft head.
5. Thrust disk rupture - replaced thrust disk.
6. Motor rotor sweeping - identify the cause and repair it.
7. Unbalanced impeller rotor or broken rotor bar - perform dynamic balancing and replace the rotor.
8. Loose connecting bolts - tighten the bolts.
9. Overload of low head and high flow motor of water pump - control the flow at the operating point by adding gate valve.
10. The water pump does not have enough inflow to intermittently discharge water - add a gate valve to control the outflow.
The motor cannot start and has a buzzing sound:
1. Phase failure (line or starting equipment) - repair the line or starting equipment.
2. Voltage too low - adjust the voltage.
3. Embrace the bearing - correct the bearing.
4. Rust between impeller and seal, etc. - pry the water pump to rotate or disassemble the water pump and reinstall it.
5. There is a foreign object inside the pump, and the impeller cannot rotate - remove the foreign object.
Low insulation resistance and burnt out winding:
1. Joint water ingress - repair the joint.
2. Winding damage - wrap or replace the winding.
3. Cable rupture - wrap the cable properly.
4. Water shortage inside the motor - Ensure that the motor is filled with clean water.
5. Phase loss operation - check the circuit and equipment to ensure normal operation.
6. Long term overload operation - reduce the load to ensure that the motor current does not exceed the specified value on the nameplate.
7. The motor is buried in the mud - install the electric pump according to the installation requirements.
