When the suction valve of the pump opens, compressed air enters the rear chamber of the pump, causing the diaphragm on the suction side to bend inward. This action creates a low-pressure area that attracts liquid from the inlet into the suction side of the pump.
3. Discharge stage: Once the liquid is sucked into the pump, the suction valve closes and the discharge valve opens simultaneously. At this point, compressed air enters the front chamber of the pump, causing the diaphragm on the discharge side to bend outward. This action discharges the liquid from the front chamber of the pump and sends it to the outlet.
4. Diaphragm collaborative work: In pneumatic diaphragm pumps, the suction and discharge stages are achieved through the collaborative work of the diaphragm. The bending and recovery of the diaphragm allow the liquid to be sucked in and discharged, while preventing liquid backflow. This double diaphragm design enables the pump to efficiently transport various liquids, including liquids with high viscosity, particulate matter, or corrosiveness.
